I do not use Foreign Domain Document for routing to the internet but I do have 2 connection documents for routing to a domino server in the same domino domain and another domino server in a different domino domain. The second connection uses SMTP, mail to this domain also sits in smtp.box. I also have Foreign Domain Document setup for Fax (VSI-FAX for Notes) routing.
